Throughout its duration, Penumbra<\/i> will be accompanied by a public program titled Vanishing Points<\/i> and curated by Bianca Stoppani <\/b>and Paola Ugolini<\/b>\u2014respectively Editor and Curator at Fondazione In Between Art Film.<\/p>\n

Together with curators, researchers, and thinkers, Vanishing Points<\/i> involves the artists featured in the show and expand the conversations around their practice via conversations, screening programs, performances, and live readings with the participation of:<\/p>\n

According to linear perspective, a vanishing point is that real as much as virtual site on the horizon of a picture where its elements converge. It is the particular and universal point according to which the picture is fabricated and yet, despite being what the eye is invited to look at, it is also where vision paradoxically ends. Within and beyond this framework, the public program of Penumbra looks at the vanishing points which animate the works in the exhibition, acknowledging and engaging with a multiplicity of perspectives on activism, aesthetics, ecocriticism, geopolitics, philosophy, decolonization, critical spatial practice, and visual culture.<\/p>\n

Fondazione In Between Art Film has activated a number of educational partnerships with prestigious universities of Venice that will offer formative experiences to their students. If you want to take part and are a student from the Philosophy and Cultural Heritage department at Universit\u00e0 Ca’ Foscari or from the Visual Arts department at IUAV, please contact your department\u2019s administration office.<\/p>\n
